Sophie Arnold is one of the founding directors of Sandersons UK and has been with the company since its inception in 1992. She started her career riding horses professionally and was sponsored to event for 3 seasons. She then moved to Canterbury to do a BA Hons in Social Policy before moving into a career in property. Further qualifications include a Diploma in Management; Prince2 and a Microsoft Systems Administrator. She has been proactive in ensuring that the company employs leading edge technology and the staff are trained to be advanced in their skill set. This focus on using the latest tools available has put Sandersons in an enviable position in terms of quality of delivery. Sophie is now based just outside Brighton with her partner. Hobbies include high level trekking, skiing and via ferrata.
Mark has been with us since April 2013. After gaining an Economics degree he started work as a financial advisor. He subsequently worked for 12 years with a large corporate estate agency working across all aspects of the business from financial services, through to lettings and sales. At the time he was head hunted to work for Sandersons, he was the Area Manager responsible for 5 offices in Kent. He brings to Sandersons his energy, enthusiasm and organisational skills as well as a desire to develop our existing teams and grow the business for the future. Mark is married with 2 young children living in East Kent. When not at work, depending on the weather, can be found either playing golf or windsurfing on the North Kent coast.
Pippa joined Sandersons in 2009 as New Lets Manager after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with an upper 2.1 (Hons) degree in Business Studies with Operations Management . Pippa went on to oversee the Property Management Team and in 2015, progressed into a more strategic role developing our systems and in house processes to ensure we are operating as effectively as we possibly can. This includes tailoring our staff training, software and technology to our clients to enable us to continue to deliver the best possible service. Pippa enjoys most sports but in particular snowboarding and showjumping where she regularly competes with her own horse against both national and international riders. John joined Sandersons in 2015 after 'retiring' from a successful banking career, where he was committed to providing excellent customer service. He is a highly experienced manager with over 35 years' experience, holding traditional values of putting customers first, and providing professional personal service. Fully qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, John was one of the first managers at NatWest to gain the Certificate of Business Banking Practice Level 2. John spent the last 17 years in the bank as a senior Business Relationship Manager, supporting businesses to achieve their ambitions by delivering business expertise and making things simple. John was responsible for looking after a portfolio of over 150 Small and Medium sized businesses, including both trading businesses, and Real Estate (Property Development and Property Investment). It is here where he worked closely with the owners of Sandersons and is now responsible for helping to develop the sales and lettings business across Kent, Sussex, and the South East. In the 'real world', John realised some time ago that he would never make it as a professional skier, cyclist, or violinist, so is happy for these to be hobbies. He regularly skis in the French resort of Courchevel, and in the summer, can often be seen cycling on the East Kent roads. Anita has in excess of 15 years experience within both corporate and independent estate agency. Anita started her property career working as on site liaison and sales negotiator on new home sites in the Kent and Sussex areas; working in partnership with various developers including Kier, Redrow, Bellwinch Homes and Sales Link. Following the success of these projects, Anita demonstrated her tenacious and proactive approach within a successful and profitable national corporate estate agency as a senior team member for 4 years. Since 2011, Anita has worked in partnership with private and corporate Landlords in the South East, overseeing the daily operation of these contracts. Anita is a dedicated point of contact for these clients to ensure that lettings and sales properties are marketed efficiently and void periods are reduced; thus increasing profitability for her clients. Anita has gained extensive knowledge of the government Help to Buy, Intermediate Rent and Shared Ownership Sales Schemes for both the rental and residential sales markets. Antony joined Sandersons in 2014 after making a name for himself with a competitor with his dynamic and passionate approach to the industry. He has worked in the industry for over 10 years, mostly at management level, and is NAEA qualified. He brings huge enthusiasm and energy to the role and believes passionately in working in association with clients to deliver a top end service. Chris joined Sandersons in 2009 specifically to launch the Ashford office. We subsequently saw unprecedented growth in Ashford as new customers benefited from the attention to detail and flair that Chris and his team brought to the role. In August 2011 Chris moved to our Canterbury office and is heading up the team that is experiencing unprecedented growth. He lives in Canterbury and is married with two children. Jess was head hunted by Sandersons in 2008. She was already working in the industry and we had been hugely impressed with her obvious flair for top-level negotiation. Her talent and enthusiasm quickly saw her progress into management. She has managed an expanding team and has received the highest praise from our many satisfied landlords and vendors alike. Jess is currently on maternity leave but is still in regular contact with the team and hopes to return to work after taking a year off with her daughter.
Jen joined Sandersons as a negotiator in our Canterbury office in 2007. After gaining valuable experience within the sales team she was promoted to the Property Management department based in Maidstone in 2009. She headed up the team that managed the Canterbury portfolio and the Corporate Landlord team before she was promoted to Assistant Lettings Manager in Canterbury. Jen has studied for and gained the NFOPP level 3 award in Residential Lettings and Property Management. In her spare time she likes to travel and explored Hong Kong and Bali on her last venture. Lorraine has overseen the client accounting within Sandersons since joining the team in 2009 and is now heading up the Property Management Department. Matt graduated from Canterbury Christchurch University in 2013 with a degree in Photography. He also holds an Adobe Certified Associate qualification for the use of Photoshop. Since Matt began photographing properties in 2014, he has photographed a wide range of homes for estate agents and property developers. He is also to complete floor plans and is a qualified domestic energy assessor. Matt's personal photographic work has been selected for a number of competitions, it was most notably featured in the Royal Photographic Society 'International Print Competition', as part of it was included in a touring UK exhibition. Matt has also held a solo exhibition in Broadstairs, Kent. His most recent project was featured online with the Telegraph newspaper. Besides photography, his hobbies are travelling and snowboarding.
