Jess was head hunted by Sandersons in 2008. She was already working in the industry and we had been hugely impressed with her obvious flair for top-level negotiation. Her talent and enthusiasm quickly saw her progress into management. She has managed an expanding team and has received the highest praise from our many satisfied landlords and vendors alike. We are now really excited to have Jess settling into her new role as Lettings Area Manager.
I live in Sandwich with my beautiful daughter Bella. We are surrounded by our family and friends which is handy considering the amount of time we spend with them! I love to ‘get away’ and always make sure I have a holiday to look forward to being it in this country or abroad. When I’m not being ‘Mummy’ or at work I tend to head to the nearest spa (other Mum’s with toddlers will get this) to unwind! Life is totally bonkers, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What advice would I give my younger self?
Do all the crazy stuff. Take the risks. They’re totally worth it!
Robin joined Sandersons iConn in January 2018 as a lettings negotiator. He has excellent IT and administrative experience so we are really happy to have this level of skill in the team to continue to ensure we deliver a consistently exceptional service to our customers. He worked as a network engineer in London working to put the WiFi networks on trains (virgin trains out of Euston/Heathrow express) for a company called Nomad Digital Ltd. Just before joining Sandersons iConn, he spent 2 years in retail at Homebase/Currys working at the front end as well as in the warehouse.
Robin is also in the process of completing a distance learning engineering qualification in HNC General Engineering.
What do you like most about Sandersons’ iConn approach?
The supportive and friendly office atmosphere makes it easy to focus on providing the best customer experience I can.
Apart from a brief move to London, I have lived in Canterbury my whole life. Two years ago I started training Kickboxing at a local club and this year I started competing in local competitions which has been a painful but enjoyable experience.
Last year I completed the PARAS'10 and COMMANDO charity runs which help raise funds for their respective regiments and I also completed a charity log run for Who Dares Cares.
I recently learnt to ski and intend to spend as much time in the mountains as I can in the near future!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
It's better to fail at something then never try at all
Vicky joined the Sandersons team in June 2018 as Lettings Administrator.
For the past 16 years she has worked in the Estate Agency industry and has gained valuable experience in residential lettings and commercial agency within Canterbury.
At Sandersons she carries out general administration for new lets that have been agreed. She also liaises with landlords and tenants in respect of renewing their tenancies, and prepares the relevant documents.
What do you like most about Sandersons' approach?
Every client is different, we treat each client as an individual, which enables us to meet their needs and therefore provide an excellent service.
Vicky grew up in Canterbury and moved to Chartham with her fiancé 11 years ago. They have two young children together.
She loves spending time with her family. She often takes the children to the beach, goes swimming and likes to go for bike rides.
She enjoys beach holidays and often goes to Spain for the warmer weather. She has also recently been to Centre Parcs, which was a busy break but also lots of fun!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Make the most of every opportunity
Nadeem has worked previously in the accommodation business, working for a company called WAFH, where he sourced serviced accommodation to businesses worldwide. Before that he was working for The London Institute Of Banking and Finance, often travelling up to Central London where the other office was based. He has always had good communication skills having worked in customer service and retail for over 4 years and always aims to come away from the conversation with the customer satisfied for all their needs. Nadeem joins Sandersons and is welcomed into our lettings team. He is enjoying speaking with tenants and landlords and matching them to let our properties. Nadeem has a great manner with people and has gained some fabulous Google reviews.
What makes Sandersons different:
The office environment is like no other, everyone is so helpful and supportive. When it comes to getting things done, Sandersons always go that extra mile.
I have lived in Ashford most of my life apart from a brief 3 year spell in Canterbury. I attended the Norton Knatchbull Grammar school up until the age of 17 when I decided to go into a Financial Apprenticeship. I have been a keen Rugby player my whole life, now playing for Ashford Men's and have played since the age of 10, looking to play until the age of 50. I have also previously helped run charity days for the Wooden Spoons charity of childrens rugby, reffing mini games, coaching and also helping to set up.
Advice I would give to my younger self:
Don't let anyone tell you you cannot do something, you may do it differently to everyone else, but you will always find a way to get it done.
Matt graduated from Canterbury Christchurch University in 2013 with a degree in Photography. He also holds an Adobe Certified Associate qualification for the use of Photoshop. Since Matt began photographing properties in 2014, he has photographed a wide range of homes for estate agents and property developers. He is a qualified domestic energy assessor and drone operator, he also produces video tours and designs marketing material. What do you like most about Sandersons’ approach? It is refreshing to work for an agent that has such a straight-forward approach and to work with colleagues that are all working as part of a team.
Holding a camera or with some sort of board on his feet
My personal photographic work has been selected for a number of competitions, it was most notably featured in the Royal Photographic Society 'International Print Competition', as part of it was included in a touring UK exhibition. I also held a solo exhibition in Broadstairs, Kent. Aside from undertaking my own photography, I enjoy snowboarding and skateboarding. I also have a passion for travelling, in 2016 I went on a trip around the world. In my spare time I go snowboarding at the local dry ski slope, go skateboarding or spend time with my girlfriend. What advice would you give to your younger self? Do what you enjoy because life is short.
