Charlotte progressed from a career in banking to running her own business as an Independent Mortgage Broker. After taking a career break to have a family, she started working for Sandersons in 2015 and was taken on board to assist in selling a new build site in Ashford. Sandersons were so delighted with the energy & attention to detail she brings that she continued to work for us as Ashford's Sales Progressor. Since joining us we have seen Charlotte push her personal development and we are delighted to now have her in the new role of Development Manager. Heading up the Development Team and managing our marketing, social media and sales progression.
How are Sandersons different?
Sandersons has made me feel very welcome. Having worked for corporate companies in the past, Sandersons has really highlighted the advantages of working for an independent company. I see this with the way they treat their staff and their clients.
I moved to Ashford with my family when I was very small and have lived here since. I attended the local Grammar School which gave me a good head start into shaping the rest of my life. In my spare time I enjoy spending time and holidaying with my family and friends. I sing in a choir which has given me some amazing opportunities like recording at Abbey Road Studios and singing on stage at Disneyland Paris.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Not to pass up any opportunity. I would rather give something a go and then regret it over regretting not doing something in the first place.
Cherie joined Sandersons in 2019 as a Sales and Lettings Negotiator and has over 14 years industry experience in the Ashford area. Cherie attended the local Grammar School and studied at the University of Kent where she achieved a 2:1 (BSC Hons) in Psychology; she has since completed her NFOPP exams making her NAEA qualified. Cherie has been involved in all aspects of property sales, negotiating offers and progressing sales through to completion. Cherie now joins our exciting new Development Team, focusing on marketing and social media all the way through to progressing a sale to exchange and completion.
What do I like most about Sandersons’ approach?
Sandersons are the only agent that I have worked for that put customer service at the top of their priority list; rather than a constant drive to increase stock levels. They do not tie their clients into long contracts, so they are free to walk away if they are not 100% satisfied.
I moved to Ashford when I was 4 and have lived here ever since, I live in Aldington with my husband and our Beagle. In my spare time I enjoy holidays, especially walking holidays so we can take the dog along too. I am a big foodie and love cooking and eating so the rest of my time is spent at the gym or running in the beautiful countryside.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Work less and travel more. Money cannot buy health or happiness.
Linda started her career working in various management, training and administration roles before moving into the mortgage industry where she gained valuable experience within the housing market working for a local independent mortgage advisor in sales progression and insurances. From there, she moved across to work as a Personal Assistant to the Regional Director for a government housing agency before joining Sandersons in 2011 to help grow the Ashford branch. Linda has been a major part of very exciting times for the Ashford branch. Growing from a small office with just 2 people to a branch that is a highly competitive leader within the Sandersons group and local area. This included putting together the property brochures, marketing and day to day running of the office itself. Linda returned from Maternity Leave in January 2020 to support our Land & New Homes team. We now see Linda joining our exciting new Development Team, focusing on marketing and social media all the way through to progressing a sale to exchange and completion.
Why are Sandersons different?
I like how flexible we are to each individual or property needs – no two properties or people are the same and nor are we. Not tying people into a contract proves how confident we are about how we perform and how passionate we are about what we do.
Having lived in Folkestone from a young age and worked in the Ashford area for the last 13 years, Linda has seen many changes to the industry and how it’s affected the local towns and surrounding villages. Both Folkestone and Ashford have lots of exciting opportunities happening at the moment. Folkestone has had a massive injection of life with the Harbour Arm, seafront and other developments being built and old buildings being renovated and brought back to life as well as lots of independent restaurants, bars and boutique hotels making a statement on the town. Ashford is constantly growing with lots of new developments being built.
Linda doesn’t really have “spare time”. Despite being a new Mum, she still has quite an active social life and quite often can be found in London’s West End or watching bands. When she’s not doing this, generally you will find her spending time with her family when she’s not camping at a VW festival, holidaying or being a tourist somewhere! She has taken part in various charity events including dog walks, Cupcake days, walks and colour runs for Alzeihmers, Pilgrims Hospices and various other charities.
What advice would you give your younger self?
SAVE! I was so fortunate to be able to live with my parents for a long time – so I really wish I could have saved more money than I did! I could’ve had multiple properties by now!

We now see Kerry join our exciting new Development Team, focusing on marketing and social media all the way through to progressing a sale to exchange and completion. Why are Sandersons different? If you want to stand out from the crowd, give people a reason not to forget you. Our marketing is second to none.
I live with my 5 year old son near Swanley, Kent. Most of my spare time is spent with my son and family. When I do have time to myself I like to go and support my football team, Millwall with my family. I have supported Millwall since I was small and have held a season ticket most of my life. I also like to go the theatre and cinema and whenever possible take a holiday in the sun. What advice would you give you younger self? Be kind, work hard, stay humble, smile often, stay loyal, be honest, travel when possible, never stop learning and love always.

Why are Sandersons different?
I am impressed by how Sandersons create a positive and friendly environment for their customers. The leadership team have a fresh and modern outlook on how they look after their clients and are passionate about being market-leaders in their field.
Having worked as cabin crew for twelve years, travel is in my blood so I love planning and organizing trips away whenever I can. With the restrictions that 2020 has brought, these getaways have been a lot closer to home in recent months. However it has been amazing to discover new places around the
Kent countryside and coastline. As a new mum, I love to check out recommendations on family-friendly fun around the local area with days out to farms and wildlife parks always being a highlight.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Take more photos! Hopefully, some of my memories will never fade as the photos I have are limited. I always have the camera ready now to capture happy moments and love putting albums together for my family to share.
Karen joined Sandersons in October 2020 having worked with Sandersons for over 15 years dealing with their recruitment needs whilst running her own recruitment company. With over 25 years’ experience within the Estate Agency sector as a Recruitment Manager, Sales Negotiator and more recently 4 years Sales, Social Media, Marketing and Events Management, Karen brings with her experience that contributes well to our Development Team. During her career she has managed large corporate clients with their recruitment projects and developed their current staff with training within sales and other areas of business. She prides herself on always finding a solution, always thinking outside the box, being dedicated to her clients, listening to their needs and implementing good strategies to help reach expectations and
service levels. These are very important skills to bring to Sandersons and complement our own service standards within the company.
Why are Sandersons Different?
Coming from the corporate industry for many years, I feel you can offer a more personalised and flexible approach to customers working for an independent agency such as Sandersons. You can adapt and change the hymn sheet to suit individual client’s requirements and for them to be able to gain excellent customer service levels from our team. The flexible approach really does work!
I live in the wonderful town of Tenterden with my family and have 2 children who are 15 and 22 years old as well as 2 stepchildren and a new Grandson. I enjoy a very busy life outside of work and all my spare time is spent socialising with friends and family and hosting many dinner parties as I love cooking and doing various theme nights to make it a little different and fun. I also belong to a running club and run 3-4 times week and have recently been asked to become a team leader. I feel honoured to have been asked as I love to motivate the new running group as well as further train the established runners in our groups and help them achieve their running goals as well as entering into competitions myself. When time allows during school holidays, we love planning exciting places to visit around the globe and making incredible memories together.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Never take anything for granted and treat people the way you expect to be treated yourself. Always find the funny side of life through adversity and don’t stress over things that are impossible to solve.
Matt graduated from Canterbury Christchurch University in 2013 with a degree in Photography. He also holds an Adobe Certified Associate qualification for the use of Photoshop. Since Matt began photographing properties in 2014, he has photographed a wide range of homes for estate agents and property developers. He is a qualified domestic energy assessor and drone operator, he also produces video tours and designs marketing material. What do you like most about Sandersons’ approach? It is refreshing to work for an agent that has such a straight-forward approach and to work with colleagues that are all working as part of a team.
Holding a camera or with some sort of board on his feet
My personal photographic work has been selected for a number of competitions, it was most notably featured in the Royal Photographic Society 'International Print Competition', as part of it was included in a touring UK exhibition. I also held a solo exhibition in Broadstairs, Kent. Aside from undertaking my own photography, I enjoy snowboarding and skateboarding. I also have a passion for travelling, in 2016 I went on a trip around the world. In my spare time I go snowboarding at the local dry ski slope, go skateboarding or spend time with my girlfriend. What advice would you give to your younger self? Do what you enjoy because life is short.
Lettie first joined Sandersons in 2007 as a junior lettings negotiator and was a member of the Canterbury team for six years. She left the company in May 2013 to gain more experience and work in the sales industry for three years. She feels this helped her develop a greater knowledge and confidence in both lettings and sales. We are delighted that Lettie re-joined the Canterbury team in 2016 as a negotiator and brought her experience with her. Lettie is now re-visiting her passion for art and creativity and has joined our Development Team to working on marketing as a photographer.
What do you like most about Sandersons' approach?
Having experienced the work ethic and culture in other Estate Agencies I can confidently say that Sandersons approach to all aspects of lettings and sales is different as they genuinely care about the customer and the experience that they receive at every stage of the process.
I live in Faversham and have worked in Canterbury for the last twelve years. I live with my long term partner who I met at secondary school. After 16 years together we have just tied the knot and had the most beautiful wedding in Skiathos. I enjoy exercise and cooking and have recently taken up photography which has revived the creative side of my personality. I took GCSE and A level art and this has reminded me of the passion I have for all things creative. I also enjoy holidays in hot sunny climates and hope to travel more in the future as I still have much of the world to see.
What advice would you give your younger self?
If I could give my younger self some advice it would be to have a bit more belief in myself and not to worry so much about the little things.
