The Island has excellent transport links. The nearby A289 connects to the A2 for links to the M2 and M25 for travel throughout the South East. There are frequent train services from London Victoria to Chatham with a journey time of approximately 45 minutes. The Kings Ferry Dockside Shuttle Bus operates bus services between the Dockside Outlet Shopping Centre, Chatham town centre and Chatham Railway Station. Kings Ferry also operate a coach service into London and Canary Wharf, picking up in Island Way East.
