Radnor Park has had an uplift in work over recent years with the installation of a new play park for small and older children as well as an outdoor gym. There are also basketball nets, goal posts and a fishing pond as well as a fenced-in dog run where dogs can be let off the lead. On the lower part of Radnor Park are footpaths that run alongside a stream through wooded areas and a "model yacht pond" which is a popular place for people to sit on the surrounding benches. There is an additional smaller play area here and another playing field for all to enjoy.

The apartment itself is on the top floor and is neutrally decorated throughout. The spacious living room has large windows overlooking Radnor Park where you can enjoy the park views. A double glazed door leads to the private balcony which has room for outdoor furniture for al fresco dining on warmer evenings. The current owners have updated the kitchen which has double aspect views allowing plenty of natural light in and a built in breakfast bar to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Integrated appliances include a Lamona dishwasher, washing machine, electric double oven, gas hob and fridge/freezer. The shower room has also been updated and has been fully tiled with a double shower and built in vanity unit. Location: The ever expanding seaside town of Folkestone has a variety of local restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets as well as the Harbour Arm which is proving to be a popular draw for locals and visitors from the surrounding areas. Houghton House within easy walking distance to Folkestone Central station (just 0.2 miles by foot) and is also ideally placed for local bus routes. Folkestone is located on the English Channel in Kent and is at the eastern end of the M20 providing easy access to Ashford, Maidstone, London and the M25. To the north, roads connect Folkestone to Canterbury and nearby villages. Both Folkestone stations have HS1 high speed services to London St Pancras with a journey time under 1 hour. Folkestone is a product of the Victorian age with fine buildings, attractive parks and gardens and a seafront varied in character. Modern industrial and commercial developments have broadened Folkestone's economic base and the town now has within its bounds the entrance to the Channel Tunnel, a rail/road link to the Continent ensuring that Folkestone is set to experience a future as long and as significant as its past.

The Leas Promenade was designed in the mid 1800s by Decimus Burton, who also worked on buildings and gardens at London Zoo and Kew Gardens, and spans for approximately 1 mile. The nearby Bandstand hosts events in the Summer months. A short walk down the cliff along the zig zag path or the Road of Remembrance, is the Lower Leas Coastal Park which is home to the largest free adventure play area in the South East. There is an amphitheatre which hosts theatre and musical performances in the warmer months and is adjacent to the beach. The coastal park itself is split into three zones; the formal zone comprises of pine avenues, gardens and flowers blooming all year round. The fun zone has several different play areas while the wild zone is a haven for quiet recreation.

Folkestone Harbour is fast becoming an attractive place to be with lots of restaurants including the famous Rocksalt, coffee shops, art galleries, boutique and vintage clothing shops as well as bars and traditional pubs still pulling pints to locals and visitors alike. In 2015, the Harbour Arm opened and attracted lots of visitors and locals to have a walk in the sunshine and enjoy the surrounding scenery as well as enjoying little pop up pubs, eateries and the very popular champagne bar in the lighthouse at the end where you can enjoy a glass while sitting outside and enjoying views across to the white cliffs, East Cliff, Dover, France, Dungeness and beyond.

Another big appeal to Folkestone is the High Speed Rail Link which operates services to London St Pancras in 58 minutes which gives London workers the best of both worlds – being able to live by the sea and work in the city of London by being there under an hour. Folkestone Central train station is easily reachable by car or foot at just 0.5 miles from Carlton Leas.

Folkestone prides itself on its history and parts played in WWI and WWII and has many statues and monuments to remember those who gave their lives for the country. It is famously home to the Royal Gurkha Rifles based at Shorncliffe Camp and there are lots of occasions held by the town and army to commemorate the richness that Folkestone's history has to offer.
